a solitude rain
in the wind
embosoming pinecones
that drop to earth
rolling down the hill
crack by boulders upon the grass
every seed that collapsed
in anonymous tomb
springs a new seed
replenish the grief
of memories that
can’t be forgotten
that’s how life goes
that we can’t resist
everything holds its breath
under the wingless trees
life bent
life ends
but never fails to blossom
murmuring merciful melodies
as life erodes in time
