The Green House is an online writer’s room within which nature writers from selected UNESCO Cities of Literature share inspirations from their home regions to help their cohort create new work for themselves and for publishing within their home City of Literature Over ten weeks 2 writers from Heidelberg, 2 from Melbourne and four other Cities of Literature will gather in a zoom rooms.
After the first week’s meeting and orientation, the writers take turns hosting a meeting, at a time of their choosing, to introduce a natural ‘wonder’ of their Cities of Literature region. It may be fauna, flora, a region or a landscape. Anything from the Natural world. The writer introduces their ‘wonder’ with images, facts, verse and prose as well as their own creativity. Each presentation is for thirty minutes followed by a sharing sessions with the other writers.
At the end of the 8 weeks the writers reassemble to present their ideas and inspirations for feedback and comment from the group.
2 writers will be chosen to participate in this program.
